What does a day look like?

Days are structured, with room to breathe. A typical rhythm blends program sessions, group work, movement and time outdoors, meals shared with the community, and deliberate quiet. Structure is part of the program. It lowers the daily decision load so attention can go to the work itself.

  • Morning: grounding practice, breakfast, and a check-in that sets the focus for the day.
  • Midday: one-to-one sessions and facilitated group sessions.
  • Afternoon: somatic, holistic, or nature-based sessions on the property.
  • Evening: reflection, rest, and unstructured time in a quiet setting.
How long is a stay?
Length of stay is set individually. Live-in programs of this kind commonly run from several weeks to a few months, and the right duration depends on the intake conversation, individual need, and progress. We discuss expected ranges openly during admissions, before fixing a number.
Who is the program for?
Adults seeking live-in support for substance use, trauma, and related burnout or distress, who are suited to a non-medical live-in setting. Suitability is always determined through our intake conversation, and we will say so directly if another level of support would serve someone better.

Food, movement, and recovery

What does daily life include beyond sessions?

Alongside the program week, residents eat meals made on site, use the fitness room, and have access to cold water plunge on the covered deck. These parts of the day support the program work by rebuilding sleep, appetite, and physical routine.

Food and the gardenMeals are prepared on site, with produce from the property garden through the growing season. Regular, nourishing food supports sleep, appetite, and energy in early recovery.

Yoga and stillnessTrauma-sensitive yoga and guided meditation run in the yoga room, with mats, bolsters, and a fire going through the cooler months.

Strength and movementThe fitness room is open through the week, so strength work and cardio can become a habit rather than a one-off.

Movement and physical wellness

How is exercise part of a recovery lifestyle?

Exercise is part of the daily routine here because rebuilding a body that has been under strain supports everything else: sleep, appetite, mood, and the ability to sit with difficult feelings. The on-site fitness room is available through the week, so strength work and movement become a habit that continues after the stay ends.

  • A routine you can keep. Sessions are built around what someone can realistically continue at home, not around peak performance.
  • Paced to the person. Movement starts gently, and residents work at their own pace. Anyone with a health condition is encouraged to check with their own doctor first.
  • Paired with the outdoors. Walking the property, time on the deck, and cold water plunge sit alongside the fitness room rather than competing with it.
  • Built into the lifestyle. Physical routine, food, and sleep are treated as daily practice that holds up long after someone leaves.
