Straight answers about recovery skills and about how treatment actually works in British Columbia. No success rates, no claims we cannot stand behind.

What is in the library?

In short

Two kinds of page. Recovery concept explainers, which cover the practical skills and patterns that come up repeatedly in early recovery, and British Columbia guides, which cover what is publicly funded, what private treatment costs, how long waits run, and how families decide. Everything is written by the Halo Ridge team and cites public sources where it describes the wider system.

Comox Valley and Vancouver Island

Community support on the Island is free, confidential, and needs no referral. These pages point to the current lists rather than reproducing times that go out of date.

Halo Ridge Recovery is a private live-in recovery program. We are not a hospital, medical facility, or licensed treatment centre. We do not provide medical care, detox or withdrawal management, prescribing, or diagnosis. Where those services are needed, we can help connect you with a third-party provider so support starts sooner rather than later.
